William Ekaputra Wijaya is a seasoned venture capitalist and startup builder, leading the Wadhwani Foundation’s entrepreneurship initiatives across Southeast Asia. He brings a wealth of experience in financial technology and has a proven track record of investing in over 50 tech ventures across the US and Southeast Asia.

As a co-founder of a fintech and employee benefits startup, William helped raise $1 million in funding and built a platform that empowered over 400,000 blue-collar workers. He has also played key roles at major tech companies such as Fazz Financial Group (Payfazz) and JULO, contributing to their growth and innovation strategies.

With deep expertise in startup growth, ecosystem development, and innovation, William specializes in fundraising, growth hacking, and public-private collaboration models that drive scalable impact. He also served for over a decade as an active leader of the YALA Foundation in Jakarta, where he developed scholarship programs supporting 600+ underprivileged students through transformative education initiatives.
