Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, popularly known as IP University, has launched a new collaboration to strengthen on-campus entrepreneurship by offering students hands-on training, digital learning resources and guided venture-building experiences.
Through workshops, venture simulations and a 14-week practice venture programme, students will develop real business ideas, handle financial transactions, receive industry mentorship and earn certification. The university signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN). The MoU aims to equip students with practical skills, innovation capabilities and start-up readiness through carefully designed interventions such as live online workshops, structured business idea development, venture simulation exercises and access to Wadhwani Foundation’s curricula, content and digital learning platforms. “Under this partnership, students will work in small teams to conceptualise and run practice ventures—real-venture models with financial transactions, profit motives and industry-aligned mentorship, empowering them to experience the complete entrepreneurial journey from ideation to validated business pitch stage,” said an official. NEN will provide curated curricula, capacity-building workshops, digital resources and marketing support, while the university will facilitate implementation by integrating content through its Learning Management System, enabling faculty training and providing mentorship and infrastructure support to students. The collaboration is intended to create a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, nurturing job creators of the future and contributing meaningfully to India’s start-up and innovation landscape.
