Wadhwani Government AI represents Wadhwani Foundation’s global mission to help governments harness AI for public good. It brings together AI innovation, government-focused solutionsand global thought leadership to support responsible AI adoption and digital transformation.
Today, Government AI initiatives are delivered in India through independent local organizations. The Rede Nacional de Empreendedorismo (NEN) delivers AI-enabled national platform initiatives, while the Rede de Desenvolvimento de Habilidades (SDN) delivers executive learning and capability-building programs for public sector leaders. As Wadhwani Government AI expands globally, independent local organizations will deliver initiatives aligned with the priorities and requirements of governments in their respective countries.
Complementing these implementation efforts, Wadhwani Foundation collaborates with the U.S.-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) through the CSIS Wadhwani AI Center, advancing global research and dialogue on AI governance, digital policy, emerging technologies, and public sector innovation. Together, these efforts bring international perspectives and practical insights that support governments in navigating the opportunities and challenges of AI.

Wadhwani Government Platform supports governments in the design and co-development of AI-enabled national digital platforms that can improve citizen outcomes at population scale.
In India, the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) independently delivers these initiatives. The portfolio includes the National Jobs Platform, currently being developed and piloted to strengthen employment matching at population scale; ASHA (Anna Sahayata Holistic AI Solution), an AI-enabled citizen feedback platform supporting India’s Public Distribution System; and AI-enabled initiatives implemented in partnership with state governments to strengthen Self Help Group (SHG) and Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) programmes. Together, these initiatives demonstrate how AI-powered digital platforms can strengthen citizen engagement, improve public service delivery, and create measurable impact at national scale.
