A National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) lança o 'Dream to Destination (D2D)' - um programa de desenvolvimento de mulheres empreendedoras

‘Dream to Destination (D2D)’ – A Women Entrepreneur Development Program launched by National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) aims at helping women entrepreneurs achieve their business goals, especially in terms of fundability, scalability and revenue growth. The program aims to assist 100 high-potential women entrepreneurs across 5 cities.
Bangalore, 24 March 2014: The Dream to Destination (D2D) program jointly offered by the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) and the Aspen Network for Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) aims to help 100 high-potential women entrepreneurs improve the fundability, scalability and revenue growth of their businesses through robust enterprise-development support.

A National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN), a principal iniciativa da Wadhwani Foundation, conceituou e liderou essa iniciativa, aproveitando sua experiência de uma década no desenvolvimento de empreendedores bem-sucedidos e start-ups lucrativas. O programa Dream to Destination (D2D) foi criado para mulheres empreendedoras que possuem e administram ativamente empresas com potencial de crescimento.

The selection to the D2D program is through a careful scrutiny of applicants against a set criteria. This exclusive women-only mentoring-cum-workshops (mentor-shops) has been planned in 5 cities – Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur and Hyderabad. These mentor-shops will equip the participants with tools to grow their businesses and assess their needs and then draw up a development plan for each participant. The selected entrepreneurs will receive support from NEN mentors and educators to developed tailored programs that fit their needs and enhances their potential for scale-up.

The applications were received from a diverse group ranging from late twenties to late forties, from full-time entrepreneurs to professionals turned entrepreneurs, and their business ranging from early stage to growth stage with revenue slabs from Rs. 0 – 5 Lakh p.a. to Rs.1 crore and more. As far as industry type is concerned majority was of the participants were from IT, Manufacturing, Retail, Education and the rest from Biotech, Consulting, F&B and Hospitality.

Recent workshops organized by NEN at Bangalore on 7th & 8th March & Hyderabad on 14th & 15th March 2014 witnessed enthusiastic participation of women entrepreneurs.

Dr. K. Srikrishna, Executive Director, National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) says “We believe that women have tremendous, untapped potential that that can transform local economies. Today only 15-20% of new entrepreneurs are women and these women face substantial challenges in access to networks in addition to skills and knowledge that all new entrepreneurs need. The D2D program has been designed exclusively to help women entrepreneurs grow their own businesses through proven tools & strategies that NEN has developed, over the years. The enthusiastic participation and response by women entrepreneurs to the first Dream to Destination workshops in Bangalore and Hyderabad tells us that we are on the right track to helping them take their businesses to the next level.”
Attending the Bangalore workshop, Ruche Mittal, who is in the business of Marketing and Branding through her venture Idea Perfect Communication, says “Dream To Destination’ is a very promising program. Being a complete and customized solution for each participant, it is a great idea and I am glad NEN along with ANDE could really think through the real requirement that entrepreneurs like me have today.”

Kavitha, one of the participants of the Hyderabad workshop, is in the business of paints through her venture Om Sai Andhra Paints, sums up her experience of the program as “Very educative & informative. I understood certain aspects of the business which we normally overlook using in own business”

Após o programa de dois dias, a NEN está elaborando planos de desenvolvimento personalizados para cada empresário. A próxima fase do programa implementará planos de desenvolvimento conectando as participantes a recursos e sistemas de suporte relevantes. O objetivo desse programa é fornecer a todas as empreendedoras participantes acesso a conhecimentos e habilidades por meio de workshops intensivos, cursos on-line e material didático sobre tópicos como planos de negócios, modelos de negócios, financiamento de start-ups e aquisição de clientes; suporte de orientação 1:1 orientado por metas por meio da rede certificada de mentores da NEN e acesso a especialistas e redes do setor com base na rede de 4.500 especialistas do NEN Resources Bureau.

Akhil Shahani, Serial Entrepreneur with Ventures in Education, Private Equity and Non Profits. He is the Director at Smart Entrepreneur and Kaizen Management Advisors Pvt Ltd and Managing Director at Center for Management and SAGE Foundation.

Deepak Khaitan, Chairman of Eastern India Regional Council of ‘The Institute of Company Secretaries of India’ and faculty of Law & Entrepreneurship at several prestigious colleges.
Shashank Rajurkar, Co-founder of two start-ups – Zephyr Turnaround Advisors Private Ltd and Knights Restructuring Services Southern India Private Ltd. He has extensive experience in venture capital investments, building business models & securing customers and mentored many start-ups.
