Tech biggies to visit city for UP’s AI meet

Tech bigwigs from leading national and global companies will gather in the city on Tuesday to attend UP govt’s AI-led innovation and capacity building conference, aimed at promoting AI-driven innovation and skills. The conference, organised by the Centre for e-Governance under the department of IT and electronics, will focus on innovation, capacity building and employment-oriented skill development in AI. Principal secretary, IT and electronics, Anurag Yadav said the conference seeks to encourage AI-based innovation in UP. The inaugural session will feature a presentation on the govt of India’s Bhashini platform, highlighting multilingual digital empowerment and the role of language technologies in improving citizen services. This will be followed by presentations from global technology majors including Microsoft, TCS, HCL, Google, Wadhwani Foundation and Intel, focusing on AI applications, skill development, digital ecosystems and building industry-ready talent.

Special secretary, IT and electronics, Neha Jain said the post-lunch session will spotlight the state’s IT policy, start-up ecosystem and emerging opportunities for youth. A key highlight will be the signing of an MoU between the Centre for e-Governance and Nasscom under the ‘FutureSkills Prime’ initiative to align training with industry needs and create new employment opportunities.
