A three-day Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp for Principals and teachers of PM SHRI Schools is underway at Satyam Institute of Management & Technology, Nakodar. The camp started on Monday with a participation of over 190 principals and teachers.
Prof Sitharam TG, Chairman, AICTE, Dheeraj Sahu, Additional Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, and Dr Abhay Jere, Vice-Chairman, AICTE, jointly inaugurated the camp for PM SHRI Schools at 25 states and 2 UTs. Inauguration at Nakodar was done by Ashish Tripathi, Regional Coordinator, Innovation Cell, AICTE Ministry of Education, Vaani Gandha (Expert)-Wadhwani Foundation, Gauri Madan (Expert)-Wadhwani Foundation, Chairman Satyam Group of Institutes Vipan Sharma, Chairperson Jyoti Sharma, MD Shivam Sharma along with Satyam Institute of Management & Technology Principal Rashid Hamid, Polytechnic Principal Paras Chadha, Indo Swiss International Convent School Principal Pankaj Sharma.
The IDE Bootcamp is being organised by the Department of School Education and Literacy, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation. The event promises a series of group activities, immersive working sessions, and engaging workshops, all tailored to ignite creativity and problem-solving skills. With an emphasis on fostering collaboration and interactive learning, participants will explore into the “why,” “what,” and “how” of innovation. Throughout the programme, attendees are gaining valuable insights into the significance of innovation in education, uncover practical strategies for driving change, and harness the power of entrepreneurial thinking. On day 2, the participants focussed on competency-based assessment reforms. The day concluded with Innovation in Action, featuring an exposure visit to the Incubation Centre and Innovation Studio at Lovely Professional University.
