Defender la innovación en la educación: El profesorado de la UCP recibe el reconocimiento de la Fundación Wadhwani en la Ceremonia FDP

Following the successful in-person sessions of the Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Technopreneurship and Entrepreneurship Education held at CPU in September, eleven (11) faculty members from Central Philippine University (CPU) were recognized during the Wadhwani Foundation’s FDP Virtual Commencement Ceremony on October 17, 2025.

The event marked the culmination of the comprehensive FDP, which equips educators with entrepreneurial teaching competencies to nurture innovation, creativity, and startup mindsets among students. Representing three colleges, the CPU faculty members were acknowledged for successfully completing the program and earning certification as Fully Certified Entrepreneurship Educators or FDP Completers.

College of Agriculture, Resources and Environmental Sciences (CARES)

  • Hermely A. Jalando-on (CBA) – Best Presenter and Most Outstanding Entrepreneurship Educator

Beyond individual achievements, CPUGAD TBI was honored by the Wadhwani Foundation as one of its Entrepreneurship Education Champions. The recognition underscores CPUGAD TBI’s dedication to advancing innovation and entrepreneurship education through sustained partnerships, training programs, and incubation initiatives.

The FDP forms part of the Wadhwani Foundation’s mission to strengthen entrepreneurship education nationwide by empowering faculty members to adopt experiential and innovation-driven teaching approaches.

As this milestone concludes, CPU and CPUGAD TBI reaffirm their commitment to nurturing a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship — equipping faculty members to inspire and mentor future-ready students capable of creating impactful ventures for social and economic progress.
